Need:
Provide a way to schedule radiology exams, and then to store/process/share the results as necessary. Additionally, the module had to be integrated into a complex multi-functional medical practice management software.
NTR's solution: Develop a web-based application enabling
the patient to
- register for the desired exam on a dynamic web calendar that provided real-time information on equipment and personnel availability.
and the medical personnel to
- easily follow up appointments for tests, thus maximizing equipment usage;
- register and store the results of the exams (X-Rays, CT Scans, Bone Density, Ultrasounds, Mammograms, etc.) in a secure, accessible film logs database;
- link the exam results to the patient's Electronic medical records (EMR);
- distribute exam results as needed - e.g., send to another specialist for analysis;
- track them with the help of X-Ray Film Tracking service to monitor access;
- view the reports on all tests for a certain patient (patient history report) and all tests on a certain date (exam log report).

- unified procedure of processing different types of exams;
- simple structure of database - one chart for each type of data (e.g., film logs, visits, etc.)
- multiple service functions accessible:
- results/diagnosis for each type of exam are presented in a standard format;
- an exam-specific card for doctors and readers;
- radiologists can sign the results;
- doctors-readers register the status of the analysis (Preliminary/Signed Off).
