Nick Mikhailovsky is co-founder and CEO of NTR Lab, which he began as a bootstrapped company in 2000. His strong managerial, communication and team-building skills, as well as rich technical expertise, were acquired through his 11-year pre-NTR experience consulting for customers such as Cray Research and the Central Bank of Russia. Nick's most outstanding accomplishments are in the areas of straight-through processing, information system architecture, credit risk estimation systems, and information retrieval systems. He graduated from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in 1994; he also did postgraduate work and taught computer science and numerical mathematics. Nick has a wife and 3 kids, plays the guitar/sings and enjoys reading.
Anton Malkov is co-founder and COO. He graduated from Moscow State Technological University "Stankin" in 1993. Prior to NTR, Anton spent four years at the Central Bank of Russia, where his final position was Chief Specialist in the Software Development Department. In addition he has published multiple articles on IT. Anton is a family man with two daughters. His work and family are his two major "time-eaters", but when he does find time to himself he prefers to devote it to learning, reading, and travelling - an activity that he shares with his family. Among his more esoteric skills is the ability to drive a tank.
Alexey Agapov is co-founder and CTO, providing technical leadership for our projects and heading our quality program. After graduating from Siberian Metallurgic Institute in 1993 Alexey worked at Programbank, one of the top three Russian providers of banking software, where he implemented CMM level 3. Alexey started at Programbank, first as a lead project manager and was promoted to quality manager. Alexey is married and has a son and a daughter. He's an avid cyclist and a rabid fan of Macintosh, Mercedes, and exotic teas, coffee, beer and cognac.
Oleg Zmeyev is our Caché S ystems Architect and has been with NTR since 2005. After graduating from Tomsk State University in 1993, he moved from instructor to associate professor of computer science, first at Anzhero-Sudzhensk, then at Kemerovo State University, where he also served as Deputy Director of IT and finally at Tomsk State University. Oleg holds a PhD math/CS; he is a published writer (one book and over 80 scientific papers) on mathematical modeling and software engineering . He is married and has two children, a boy and a girl.
He has a great love of war games; is a member of Intellectual Games club and takes part in specially organized war games tournaments all over Russia. Oleg creates war and historical miniatures using plastic, which he decorates and uses in the games. An accomplished singer, his favorite role is Quasimodo in Notre Dame De Paris.
Alex Drozdov is our Lead Caché Developer and has been with NTR since 2005. Prior to joining NTR he worked for two companies where he developed business-models and specifications for accounting in preferential medicine distribution, within the frames of mandatory medical insurance; he also developed models and requirements for management assurance software. Alex worked as an independent consultant, doing software development for various startups; he developed mathematical models and associated software implementation during his army service; and has published ten scientific papers. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1987 with degree in physics and from the F.Dzerzhinsky Military Academy in 1989, with degree in math. Alex lives with his wife, two daughters, a dog and loves to cook.
Leonid Birichevski is our Lead .Net developer, joining NTR in 2003 as applied software development specialist. He graduated in 1993 from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPhI) as an engineering system analyst. He worked in two private companies where he gained extensive experience in technical support, internal corporate accounting software, customer support and network administration. Leonid has a wife and one son. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends in the countryside - in the forest, on a hike, near a river - sharing goodies, wine and playing dominoes; he's also a great handyman.
